Ken Austin, President/Chief Executive Officer

Ken Austin has 44+ years of experience as a leader in sales, business, and management; with 15+ years being focused on Construction and Construction Management. He previously performed in competitive markets acting as Regional Manager and later as VP of Construction. Ken has been the President, CEO, of K Austin & Associates since the company was formed in 2003. He currently heads the company in promoting development and construction management projects and often acts as Project Manager. Ken leads the K Austin Superintendent Team and manages all aspects of the company’s business. He is Past President of the Humble Intercontinental Rotary Club. He is licensed to do business in the State of Texas and the State of Louisiana, and is a Registered Builder/Remodeler with the Texas Residential Construction Commission.

Hoyt Ivey has 30+ years of experience in business accounting and finance. Hoyt has previously worked for a major company in the oil and gas industry where he offered a variety of accounting services at an executive level for many years. Hoyt has been with K Austin & Associates since 2003. He is currently Chief Financial Officer for the company and handles all fiscal accounting and accounting related issues, company financial issues, as well as, banking, payroll, and personnel related issues. He, also, acts as office manager and handles responsibilities associated with daily operations. Hoyt is our financial guru, keeps us integrated in the latest accounting software, is an outstanding role model and has served as an adult Sunday school teacher in his church for 20+ years.
Shane Johnson, Project Manager

Shane Johnson came to K Austin and Associates in 2007. He brings with him extensive operation and management experience that he has developed by working for both large corporations as well as small business. He has worked in the food manufacturing, wood products, pharmacy, and construction industries. Shane is currently a Project Manager for the company managing multiple projects and acting as a corporate liaison to some of our largest clients. His most recent projects include the mobilization and rebuilding of several funeral homes between Houston and Galveston that had significant damage from Hurricane Ike in 2008. He managed the latest 10,000 SF addition of the National Museum of Funeral History to include the Papal Exhibit. Other recent projects include working with the Lone Star Flight Museum in Galveston after hurricane Ike, multiple high pile warehouse storage compliance projects, multiple machine shop expansion projects, and multi-story interior remodel projects. Shane holds a Bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Tyler. He maintains a strong track record, has great client relation skills and is a very intricate part of the K Austin team.
David Beckcom, Project Manager

David Beckcom has 40 plus years experience in the construction industry. He has a background in carpentry and has worked as a carpenter, a carpenters’ foreman, a project superintendent, and a project manager. David owned and ran a construction company for 15 years. He has traveled and worked retail construction as a superintendent and project manager for 12 years. His work experience includes single and multi-family housing, retail stores and restaurant facilities in both build out and ground up construction. David further has experience on numerous commercial and industrial projects. He is the latest addition to the KAustin team and is currently managing various projects, including a water tower build out in Galveston, a high pile compliance project in Houston and a crane addition project, also, in the Houston area.
Chuck Lytton, Project Manager

Chuck Lytton has 25 years of experience in Construction and Construction Management in the U.S. & Canada. Before joining the K Austin team he previously was bi-vocational, Pastoring at Grace Christian Fellowship, in Black Creek, British Columbia, as well as, working on residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects. Chuck has been with K Austin & Associates since 2003 and is currently a Project Superintendent for the company managing various commercial build out and ground up projects. He has managed major renovations at Earthman’s Hunters Creek Funeral Home, George H. Lewis Funeral Home, Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home and Training Center Ike Repairs, Cypresswood Golf Club, MES Group and our K Austin Home Office, including ground up construction for Ward Brothers Insurance and T & T World Headquarters. Chuck has worked extensively with Moody Rambin, Cameron Management, Kenyon International, Secure Mortgage, and National Cremation. Chuck is committed, professional, dedicated to service and a valuable member of the K Austin team.
Anita Yarborough, Administrative Assistant

Anita Yarborough has 18 years of administrative experience that includes offering a variety of support and administrative services in the legal, educational, accounting and construction management fields. Anita has been with K Austin & Associates since 2004. She is currently Administrative Assistant for the company and handles accounts payable and receivable information, billing, insurance, and contract documents, document control, as well as, various other administrative responsibilities. Anita holds a Public Service/Business degree with a paralegal/legal assistant major. She, also, works in the helps ministries and has a heart for home and foreign missions.
