Tara Johnson

Tara applies over 8 years of specialized experience in construction accounting to her role as CFO at KAustin & Associates. She plays a vital role in financial analysis, budgeting, cash flow management, and aligning strategic goals with financial performance. Tara is also recognized for implementing systems that enhance transparency, accuracy, and informed decision-making across the company. Outside the office, she enjoys gardening and finding creative ways to use her homegrown fruits, vegetables, and flowers. Tara is married to Shane for 27 years, they have two children—Haley, studying Ag Business at Texas A&M RELLIS, and Ryan, pursuing a firefighting career through Blinn College RELLIS. Tara also holds certifications in winery ownership, home staging, and vacation rental design—and once survived the world’s most dangerous highway, Black Bear Pass, outside of Telluride, Colorado.
